Malcolm Turnbull promised he could build a second rate version of the NBN for $29.5b and get it to everyone by the end of 2016. Now it’s going to cost almost twice as much and take twice as long to build, and at the end of it, the people of Capricornia will be left with a second rate copper NBN.
A high speed broadband connection is not a luxury - it is a must. Not having access to the highest speed broadband puts our students and aspiring leaders of commerce, science, and industry in Central Queensland behind their state and global competitors. A second best approach creates second class citizens - it simply isn't fair.
